WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER PILLAR PROCEDURE

Mild pain is to be expected for the first few days following the procedure. This should be relieved with Tylenol. Irritation and/or a minor sore throat can be expected, and should decrease within a few days. It is normal to see several dots on your soft palate. These are just insertion points for the pillars, and will heal on their own.

CONTACT OUR OFFICE IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS:

  • Protrusion of a pillar
  • Fever of 101 degrees or higher
  • Excessive swelling
