Board-Certified Physicians Treating Throat And Voice Disorders

Each and every day, we rely on our voice to inform, persuade, and communicate with the world around us. We recognize others by the sounds of their voices. The greatest singers and most inspirational orators have impacted millions with their voices. Unfortunately, it is estimated that approximately 7.5 million people in the U.S. have diseases or disorders of the voice.

At Paparella Ear, Head & Neck Institute, our board certified physicians are highly trained in the diagnosis and treatment of throat and voice disorders.

Post-Nasal Drip
The nose and throat glands regularly produce mucus to clean and moisten its membranes, trap and clear inhaled foreign matter, and fight infection. While mucus is unconsciously swallowed regularly through the day, a feeling can develop where the mucus is collecting in the throat or dripping from the nose. This is called post-nasal drip. Learn about the causes, problem and symptoms associated with post-nasal drip, and treatments for the condition.
Snoring
Nearly one-half of normal adults snore on occasion, with one-fourth habitually snoring. Overweight men are prone to chronic snoring which typically worsens with age. Snoring is a sign of obstructed breathing and shouldn't be simply dismissed. Learn more about what causes snoring, who typically suffers, why it is serious, and what snoring cures and treatments are available.
Pillar Procedure
A new, revolutionary procedure is designed to help stop habitual snoring. Our board-certified physicians have been trained on how to place three tiny, woven implants into the soft palate in the back of the throat. Over time, the implants work with the body's natural response to stiffen the palate and reduce snoring. The relatively simple, 20-minute procedure is mostly pain free. Learn more about the pillar procedure and what to expect after the pillar procedure.
